Queen Creek and Gilbert have teamed up to offer residents an environmentally safe and responsible way to dispose of household hazardous waste.
With a voucher, those with active trash and recycling services in the City of Queen Creek can take advantage of household hazardous waste disposal at no additional cost.
The city can provide up to 32 monthly vouchers. Vouchers may take up to three weeks to become available and are valid for up to two weeks after receipt, Queen Creek’s website states.
When a voucher becomes available, the City’s customer service team will contact residents with their vouchers.
Items such as antifreeze, motor fuel, batteries and cell phones are accepted. Among the items that will not be accepted are latex paint, ammunition, appliances and electric vehicle batteries.
Visit www.QueenCreekAZ.gov/HHW for more information on what items will and will not be accepted, service dos and don’ts and to request a voucher.
The Gilbert Municipal Hazardous Waste Facility is located at the South Zone Service Center, 2224 E. Queen Creek Road, on the northwest corner of Greenfield and Queen roads. The entrance is half a block west of Greenfield Road off of Queen Creek Road.
Disposal is available from 7am to 2.30pm, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
