Winston-Salem police said the suspects had asked to ride and stolen weapons from the back seat of the driver’s car.
Winston-Salem, Winston-Salem’s NC Police said they were arrested by two men after an armed robbery on Anson Street on Thursday.
The victims told the police that they were driving to the suspects to their vehicle, which is in the parking lot of an apartment complex. During their interaction, the suspects saw that there were three rifles in the victim’s vehicle. They used one of them to rob the victim of the other two guns, and then left the area in blue avoidance.
The victim was not injured in this incident.
The officers then found the suspected vehicle on the 2600 block of Avenue Claremont and put the car observation.
The 20 -year -old Tyler Melton and Billy Lee Harel III, 17 -year -old, left an apartment and entered the suspected vehicle, which the two were taken in the guard without incidents.
A large amount of marijuana was found at Harel. All three stolen rifles were found in a nearby apartment, police said.
As a result of the investigation, both suspects were charged and did not connect.
Melton was taken to the Forsyte County Center, and Harel was taken to a minor detainee in Tyelorsville for safe custody.
