Reno, Nev. (Kolo) – The Renault Police Department announces a victory over a gang that is said to be the most afflicted in the area.
In 2022, the Regional Department of the Band and the Northern Special Group for Safe Streets of Nevada led a perennial gang investigation known as KO, or Knockout, a local blood band.
They say that, leading to this investigation, the violent incidents between this set and other local gangs have led to several killings and other local firing that covers the last five years. It is said that Ko also usually deals with human trafficking, drug trafficking, armed robbery and vehicle theft.
Since 2022, the regional gang department has seized 30 pistols, several pounds of illegal drugs and over $ 10,000. More than 50 gang members and associates have been convicted of various crimes such as murder, attempted murder, human trafficking and other criminal crimes.
There are still several additional cases and criminal actions related to the investigation.
According to RPD, this joint investigative effort is the first of its kind in Washoe County. It is said that the bigger part of the CO members have already been arrested and are serving considerable time for prison.
