Halloween Events: Where to find Halloween events in and around Fremont – Fremont Tribune

Are you ready for a spooky time?

With Halloween just a week away, there are numerous events planned to help you celebrate the terrifying holiday.

We’ve compiled a list of Halloween and Fall themed events to help you plan your week.

October 24

Trick or treat for the kids to eat — Fremont High School’s Tiger Drama students are sponsoring the event, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the south side of Fremont High School. Activities will include a kid-friendly haunted house, ring toss, face painting, chalk, bubbles and Plinko. Bring any cans for admission to any activity.

Spooky events — Phantasm Paranormal representatives will be at the Keene Memorial Library in Fremont at 6:30 p.m. to share their findings from visiting Barnyard Park and the Harder Hotel in Scribner. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

October 25

Trunk or treat — Trinity Lutheran Church at 1546 N. Luther Rd. in Fremont will host a Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. in its parking lot on the east side of the church. The free event will feature candy, free giveaways and music.

Trunk or treat — The Salvation Army will host its second annual Trunk or Treat event from 5 to 8 p.m. at 707 N. I St. in Fremont. There will be games and prizes, food and treats and family photos. Entrance is free. Donations are welcome.

Haunted History Tours — Fremont Opera House at 541 N. Broad St. will host the ghost tours from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The first tour starts at 7:00 pm and then another tour every 30 minutes or so until 9:00 pm when the last tour of the evening begins . Tickets for the tour are $10, with a maximum group size of about 12 people. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Fremont Opera House’s mission to restore the historic building. Scary Labyrinth Night — Camp Fontanelle’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Maze at 9677 County Road 3, near Fontanelle, invites everyone to experience their own corn maze from 7 to 10 p.m.







Malmö Pumpkins Display

The Malmo Pumpkins display will be lit in the dark on Friday 25th October and Saturday 26th October. They will remain lit until 10.30pm each night. Malmo Pumpkins is located one block west of RK’s Bar and Grill on Rutland Avenue in Malmo.

Malmö Pumpkins — The annual Malmo Pumpkins display will be lit in the dark and will remain lit until approximately 10:30 p.m. The display is located one block west of RK’s Bar and Grill in Malmo. It features numerous illuminated, intricately carved pumpkins. Every year it’s a surprise to visitors what characters they can find carved into the pumpkins.

Baseballlowin’ — This free event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Werner Park in Papillion, home of the Omaha Storm Chasers. It will feature trick-or-treating, activity stations and a family-friendly movie on the video board.

October 26

Trick or treat at Hy-Vee — Everyone is invited to spooky family fun and activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hy-Vee, 840 E. 23rd St., in Fremont. Costumes are encouraged.

Halloween weekend — Dead Timber State Recreation Area at 250 County Road 12 Blvd. near Scribner will host its annual Halloween weekend on October 25-26. A haunted trail will be open from 7:30 to 9:30 both evenings, and an outdoor movie will be shown after dark. Popcorn provided; bring your own drink. The Halloween Carnival will be open from 2pm to 4.30pm on October 26. Also on Oct. 26, there will be hay rides from 2 to 4 p.m., trick-or-treating from 5 to 6 p.m., and a hot dog dinner at 7 p.m. Hot dogs, rolls and chips will be provided. Judging for the Campsite Decorating Contest will begin at 6:00pm on October 26th. All are welcome. No camping required. A valid Nebraska State Park permit is required. Day passes will be available on site.

Trunk or treat — Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 1440 E. Military Ave. in Fremont will host a Trunk or Treat event from noon to 2 p.m

Autumn festival — Everyone is invited to enjoy free food, a hayride, petting zoo, bounce house, vendors, prize drawings and more at the Lifegate Fremont Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. at 2407 N. Colorado Ave. in Fremont. The first 100 children will receive a free pumpkin. For the safety and respect of the zoo’s domestic animals, no pets will be allowed at the festival. Free chili and hot dogs will be served from noon to 2 p.m

Mall-O-Ween — Fremont Mall will host Mall-O-Ween from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The mall will transform into a festive, spooky wonderland for the annual celebration. Children are invited to dress up in their costumes and go to the mall games. Participating stores will be giving away candy and other goodies.

Trunk or treat — The Fremont High School FCCLA, Multicultural Club and Student Council will sponsor the free event from 3 to 5 p.m. in the high school’s CTE parking lot (north side next to the tennis courts). The first 25 kids will receive a free Halloween t-shirt. The event will feature candy, hot cocoa, popcorn, costumes, cars, music and more.

Fall Feast and Trunk or Treat — Food, fun and festivities await those who attend First Congregational Church’s Fall Feast and Truck or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be games for children. Soup, treats, cider and cocoa will be available for free will. All are welcome. The First Congregational Church is located at 1550 N. Broad St. in Fremont.

Halloween party — Uniquely Yours Stability Support Annual Halloween Party will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Fremont Eagles Club, 649 N. Main St. There will be a costume contest, prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and live music by Whiskey River. Admission is $10 at the door. All proceeds will go to UYSS, a non-profit organization that focuses on preventing homelessness.

October 27

Pumpkin picture — The City of Fremont Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a pumpkin painting event from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Clemons Park Shelter, 16th Street and Luther Road in Fremont. Pumpkins and supplies will be provided. Apple cider and apple juice will be served. Entrance is free.

October 29

Trunk or treat — One Horse Saloon in Nickerson is planning a Halloween trick-or-treat from 5 to 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top three best-decorated vehicles. The bar will be open with drinks suitable for adults and children. Contact Nicole to reserve your spot.

Ghost Senior Dinner — Retirees are invited to the dinner, which will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Christensen Family YMCA Camp, 3402 W. Military Ave., in Fremont. There will be a prize for best costume, music by Billy Troy and line dancing with Connie. RSVP with Lana by phone at 402-721-6952.

October 31

Trick or treat night — Dunklau Gardens residents would love to see children come to entertainment from 4 to 6 p.m. at the nursing home, located at 450 E. 23rd St. in Fremont.

Scribner’s Halloween Shenanigans — All children are welcome to enjoy games, candy, hot dogs and a costume contest from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Scribner Center. This event is sponsored by the Scribner Chamber of Commerce.

A trail of goodies — StoneBridge Christian Church’s Fremont campus will host a Trail of Treats from 5:30 to 8 p.m. There will be candy, games, bonfires and S’mores, coffee and hot chocolate and a balloon artist. The church is located at 1041 N. Nye Ave.

Autumn festival — Fremont Alliance Church at 1615 N. Lincoln Ave. in Fremont will host its annual Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. The free festival will include food, games, candy, bounce houses and giveaways.

Trick-or-Treating at Edgewood Fremont — From 6 to 8 p.m., kids are invited to dress up in their cutest costumes and have fun at Edgewood Memory Care Fremont, 2910 N. Clarkson St.
