The Eastern Prosecutor of the US prosecutor in East Kentucky announced today, a man from Irvine, Chad Newman, at the age of 40, was sentenced to 87 months in prison by US District Judge Robert E. Weer, for a conspiracy for the dissemination of oxycodone.
According to his agreement on legal basis of January 1, 2019, until April 11, 2023, Newman spoke with others to distribute oxycodone pills in the cities of Madison, Estil, Laurel, Clay and Knox. During this time, Newman received an oxycodone 30 mg pills of a source of delivery in Louisville, which he would then sell to the middle of drug traffickers and drug users in southeastern kentucky.
According to the federal law, Newman must serve 85 percent of his sentence in prison. After his release from prison, he will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Service for three years.
