By james art Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) -Multiple sources have confirmed to WAFB I -Equip that there is a move to remove the famous LSU general adviser Winston Decuir as the best university’s lawyer. Decuir, a respected lawyer at Baton Rouge, has recently been said that his services are no longer needed and has been asked to resign.
Decuir is the first African -American Council for the State University of Louisiana.
Our sources said Decuir refused to give up, and the school told him that it would be done in about 30 days.
Decuir was hired as Vice President of Legal Affairs and LSU General Councilor on March 6, 2020, according to a message from this period of time.
At that time, LSU temporary president Thomas Galigan said: “We are pleased to welcome Winston Decuir, Jr. in our leadership team. Winston brings with it years of valuable experience, presenting higher education institutions and has a wealth of knowledge of higher education in Louisiana as a whole. As a graduate of the LSU Law Faculty and, by the way, one of my former students, we are excited to welcome him back to campus as our common advice. “
Most recently, the LSU Law Faculty put an object on the agenda last week to place a professor’s decower at a legal school. Sources have told I-Team that this move has existed for some time and has conversations to start using another lawyer. Sources with direct knowledge of the situation called this sad day.
“It’s very unfortunate because Winston has done a phenomenal job,” said a source familiar with the situation.
Numerous calls to Winston Decuir were not returned.

Moving to get rid of Decuir comes during another high -profile issue with LSU Professor Ken Levy, who was aside for the semester after commenting on President Trump and governor Jeff Landry during a lecture.
Levy filed a lawsuit against the school this week in an attempt to block this move, saying that his free speech rights were violated.
