Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – The crews responded to a fire at the house early on Thursday in Eastern Topeka.
The explosion is reported to be about 2am on Thursday with a one -storey fire of the house of 2930 SE 6TH Ave.
After their arrival, the crews found smoke and flames coming from the residence and managed to extinguish the fire, holding it in the structure from which it originated.
No inhabitants were located in the house and no injuries were reported.
The Topeka Fire Service Investigation Department reacted to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
Officials said late Thursday morning that the cause of the fire was thought to be ignition or deliberately placed.
The total estimated loss is indicated at approximately $ 10,000, all of which are related to structural damage.
The reaction of the Topeka fire service includes three engine companies, two truck companies and two battalion chiefs.
The ambulance of the American medical reaction, Evergy and Kansas Gas Service also answered. The agencies included AMR, Evergy and Gas Service Kansas.
