Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested a man of Baton Rouge as part of an investigation into a sexual assault.
Prison records show that 29-year-old Nasemfadhlmurs Sharafuldin of Baton Rouge was arrested on Wednesday, January 29, on charges of rape attempt/first-degree rape and a aggravated attack with a firearm.
According to arrest records, Sharafulsin was sitting in a truck with a wife on a course, when he supposedly pointed a gun at his head to try to force her to get into a sexual act. He is said to have made sexually inappropriate comments and exposed himself to the victim before removing the gun.
Arrest records say the victim escaped from the truck they were when the incident happened, and she was confronted with a close business for help.
Sharafulgar was booked at the parish prison in East Baton Rouge.
