Baton Rouge, La. (BRPROUD) – One person was arrested after a school bus stolen from the parish of East Baton Ruzh, was found in a swamp in the parish parish on Friday.
Plaquines parish sheriff CPT service. Chaun Domingue said the agency had learned about the stolen school bus on Friday morning. There was a brief pursuit of the east coast of the Plaquemine parish and ended near Bearer’s pumping station when the suspect was reported to have hit a parked vehicle and fled to a nearby marsh.
The MPs mobilized boats and the PPSO Air-1 helicopter to track the suspect through the swamp. Domingu said the suspect had been detained without further incidents.
No injury was reported during the persecution or arrest and the investigation continued. The identity of the suspects and details of the criminal charges will be released later, the Sheriff’s service said.
A spokesman for the East Baton Rouge parish school system said the bus was stolen this week.

We were informed this morning that the bus was successfully recovering outside the parish and is now being transported back to Baton Rouge.
