The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority has announced the promotion of Jose Martinez to Vice President of Field Operations for Reno-Tahoe.
Reporting to the President and CEO, Martinez is responsible for managing the operations of Reno-Tahoe’s four major event venues, including the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Reno Events Center, National Bowling Stadium and Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.
Martinez is responsible for capital expenditures, resource management, personnel and operating budgets at all four locations. Martinez also oversaw the management agreement with Aramark, which was awarded the 2022 food service contract.
Most recently the Executive Director of Facilities Operations, Martinez has served the Reno-Tahoe community for more than 30 years, focusing on customer service, operations and project management at Reno-Tahoe’s managed event and entertainment venues.
