New York (AP) – Wegmans recalls frozen chicken natives in eight states and Colombia County, as there may be bone fragments in the packages.
A public health warning has been issued for frozen, fully prepared chicken breast knives from Wegmans from the US Safety and Food Inspection Service, hoping to make sure customers are aware that they should not eat them. A typical recall from the agency has not been issued as the product is no longer for sale.
The signal covers plastic packets with 46 ounces containing “Wegmans Family Pack, fully boiled chicken breasts with rib meat” with the best, if used on August 26, 2025. This is located on the back of the pack to the barcode in The Lower right corner. The product was manufactured on August 26, 2024.
Nuggets are made only for WEGMANS food markets and are distributed in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, Colombia District, Columbia District, District , County Columbia, Colombia County, Columbia County, Colum County
The Food Safety and Verification Service said it had been notified of the problem after Wegmans had received numerous consumer complaints of bone fragments in the product.
There are no confirmed injury reports due to consumption.
The Food Safety and Inspection Office said it was worried that consumers could still have some of the native packages in their freezers. Users who still have packages are urged not to eat the product and throw it away or return it to the store where it is purchased.
Vegmans said all packages could be returned for a full recovery.
