A dozen were detained in immigration raids in Talahassi, says the State Agency – WUSF

The state says it has detained a dozen people in Talahasi who may be illegally in the country. Initial reports of potential arrests in the area began to go around Monday afternoon on social media.

A spokesman for the Florida and Motor Highway Safety Department has confirmed that IT and the US Department of Homeland Security are detaining 12 people.

Facebook publications on Monday from users said they either told or noticed agents carrying detainees in places around the city.

It comes as the legislature weighs bills to give local law enforcement authorities for more powers to implement federal laws to immigration and implement immigration under the competence of the Florida Ministry of Agriculture.

The head of the Motor Vehicle Agency is Dave Kerner, who recently supported the boost of government Ron Ron Ron for a legislative special session on immigration.

“We are ready and ready to follow the governor’s manual and work with the federal partners to fulfill the illegal mandate for Trump’s immigration!” The agency said in a post by X.

Leon County Sheriff’s Sheriff says she was not informed of the detention.

While Florida legislators are at a special immigration session, they do not deal with immigration proposals to initially call for Desantis.

Instead, the legislative leaders revealed their own immigration proposal, while going back to the landing to what both the chamber’s leaders and the Senate called “excessive”. These measures took voices at the end of Tuesday.
