Glendale Heights, Glendale Heights’ Il-woman faces several crimes accusations after authorities claim that an older woman in her care burns a second degree as she has failed to test the water temperature before her Baid.
The 58-year-old Darnita Connor was accused of abuse of a long-term treatment resident, a criminal neglect of a long-term establishment and reckless behavior in connection with the incident in June 2024 in the RGA Association (RGA) in Benseville.
According to prosecutors, Connor put the woman in a hot shower, which led to second-degree burns most of the lower body. Connor is also accused of not telling the medical staff at the establishment about how bad the woman was hurt.
“This successful accusation could not be carried out without the hard work and cooperation of DUPAGE County Patrol MPs, a ward for forensic investigations, investigations and state investigators of the Illinois prosecutor,” Sheriff Dupage Dupage Mandrick said in a statement.
Mandrick added: “The case brought before the big jury was the result of hours of investigation and interdepartmental cooperation between the Sheriffe Department and the Prosecutor’s Office. The Sheriff’s department seriously accepts the health, safety and well -being of all Dupage County residents. It was especially disturbing to find a caregiver at the Ray Graham Association (RGA), in a position of confidence, to cause bodily harm to one of its inhabitants due to deliberate abuse and neglect. ”
“Residents of long -term care establishments and community -based group homes rely on their health and well -being. All Illinois residents deserve to be safe in their homes, and it is terrifying that any viewer would cause serious harm to an adult or vulnerable patient in their care, “said the General Prosecutor of Illinois Raul. “I will continue to partner with local law enforcement authorities to protect adults and people with disabilities and people who abuse them with persons who abuse them
Connor is ready to re -appear in court on March 10.
RGA did not immediately answer Patch’s request for comment on Wednesday afternoon.
