Santa Fe – in honor of the LOVE season, Santa Fe Opera invites fans and newcomers to enjoy free film screenings of Donizetti’s Elixir of Love in Albukerke, Espanyol, Los Alamos and Roswell. Recorded live by the Santa Fe stage in the 2024 season, it is a harmless tale of love, placed on some of the most loved music of Opera. He writes Mark Tiarx about the new Mexican Santa Fe, “… the elixir of love can be an ideal choice as the first opera for those who are intrigued but skeptical or for children.” Translations will be available into English and Spanish screen.
One hour before each screening, join the opera teacher Santa Fe Oliver for fun, a family -friendly operation of the opera, where you will learn about history, music, singers, kits and costumes. The screening will last two hours without an atmosphere. Free reservations are needed for the screenings of Albukerke and Los Alamos. For all other screenings, seating areas are first accessible. The recording of Elixir of Love Performance is directed by Jesse Fisher with the support of assistant director Nathan a corpse; Kabby Sound Studios provides sound engineering. Artists’ appearances are possible through the American Guild of Music Artists, AFL-Cio and the American Federation of Musicians, local 618.

For the elixir of love
Nemorino, not so cellular mechanic, has fallen for Adina, a teacher. He wants her attention, but does not feel worthy. Fortunately, he meets D -R Dulkamara (certainly a kwak) who sells him a “magic elixir” that can make his dreams come true.
Based on the Italian Cinéma Vérité and placed in Italy immediately after World War II, when the class system is still part of society, the production of Stephen Lowles from the “Elixir of Love” of Donizetti with a modern depiction of the eternal struggle between the social social classes. Adina owns an olive farm land that teaches the children of her workers. Netherino is an uneducated car mechanic in love with Adina, who uses the elixir of love to win her hand. The Lawless and Scenic dishes designer and Ashley Martin-Davis kept the Italian opera roots and added American iconic elements. Thomas C. HASE provides lighting design, Susanne Sheston is the master of the chale, Sandra Moore is the stage manager and Sordelet, Inc. Controls the direction of battle and intimacy.
Conductor Roberto Calb makes his company debut. Chilean soprano Jaritsa Veliz, rising a star after remarkable debuts at Glyndebourne, the Komische Berlin, ópera Nacional de Chile operation, sings Adina in her debut at Santa Fe Opera. Former apprentice of apprentice, Jona Hoskins, sings Nemorino, a role that he made his debut in the spring of 2024 to recognize criticism in the Sofia Opera and former Chirak Sutlif singer with SFO’s roles in Dancaïre in Carmen (2022) and Demetrius in the roles of Dancaïre in Carmen (2022) and Demetri in Midsummer Night’s Drear in Carmen (2022) and Demetrius in Midsummer Night’s Dream’s (2021), returns to sing the role of the rival of the non -Morino rival. Mexican baritone Alfredo Daza debuted in his house by double Dulcamara grains and the singer of the second year Cadie J. Bryan is Giannetta.
