The Scottsdale Police Department will debut a new emergency warning system during the WM Phoenix Open, which will give signals of heavy weather, fears of public safety, evacuation and other notifications.

The system called Rave Alert is a free service that will be used for signals beyond the golf tournament. The alerts will be sent via a text message, email or voice message and can be customized based on user preferences.

For signals specific to WM Phoenix Open, attendees can send text messages to Golf25 to 67283.

To register for General Scottsdale Alerts, visit AZ911.gov/rave-citizen-info-registration.

The system debut follows a chaotic tournament 2024, which was dangerously overcrowded and ended with a record number of arrests. Nearly 3,000 tickets had to be restored when fans were turned to the entrance to remove the overcrowded conditions.

This year, the tournament has promised changes to safety improvement operations, including the addition of a second entrance and double the size of the pedestrian paths to help relieve the congestion of the crowd.

The 2025 tournament will be held from February 3 to February 9 at the North Hayden Road TPC Scottsdale Golf Course.

Fans can buy tickets on the WM Phoenix Open website, where they sell for $ 75 for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and $ 125 for Friday and Saturday. Entrance to the course course on Monday and Tuesday is free.
