Tony delivers more than a bike person – now he is an application.
Tony ILS made waves in Seattle last year when the Provider responded to an increase in shipping applications by entering a business for himself, accepting orders directly through text and putting ads for his services in the center of the city center. There was enough response from customers – and drivers who wanted to follow him in the launch of Doordash and Uber Eats – that he had already launched his application.
Named (Duh) Tony delivers, the application homepage calls on users to “join the Revolution of Delivery … Refer to your delivery driver, keep up for a fair pay and enjoy more choices.” As Eater Seattle reported last A year, the idea is that drivers who register for the app will be able to set their own areas and delivery prices, and customers will be able to choose from a menu from drivers. This functionality does not really exist in many areas – in its launch format, Tony delivers only a few neighborhoods in Seattle. (If it doesn’t work in your area, you can sign up for a waiting list.) Get it here.
Now for more news for the week:
Good sailing rises from the ashes
In November 2023, a fire destroyed the interior of South Park’s good sailing, and the owner Campbell Scarboro told Eater Seattle that he was not sure when or whether the cafe would open again. Well now! Last weekend, the cafe quietly opened its doors to customers, with sweets, coffee and even a new dinner menu and cocktail. Good Voyage is still in a soft open phase – which means don’t expect everything to be perfect if you show up – but it’s undoubtedly welcome news for the South Park neighborhood. The ghostly note expands in the city center
In better news, coffee, Ghost Note, a cafe, which is distinguished by its innovative seasonal drinks, opened its second place last month. It is located inside the skyscraper of the Seattle Tower on 1218 Third Avenue. As Puget Sound Business Journal Notes: “The opening is a positive sign of the Third Avenue, the transit corridor, which is the epicenter of homelessness, addiction and safety of the city, especially after the start of the pandemic.”
Supakalipse arrives in Fremont
A few weeks ago, John Walke, GM and the chef in the Fremont’s Mischief Distillery distillery, wrote us to inform us that “one and only neighborhood expense of the Seattle soup” happens from January 30 to February 2. Yes, this event (which began in January 2021 during the Covid Lockdown era) takes place in dinners to order soup and collect “Super” stickers from each of the 16 participating restaurants and bars; Anyone who receives eight stickers can include them for mischief awards. For a complete list of participating restaurants – including some of the most notable Fremont names – go here. And look at this art:
