The Florida Men’s Men’s Tennis No. 24 travels to No. 10 of Florida State University on Friday.
Gators enter this weekend after receiving their first loss of the season in No. 7 Columbia on the Kickoff ITA weekend. Gators just dropped out after an intense 4-2 battle for the lions. The team lost Doubles Point, but secured a little momentum in the single game with victories by Kevin Ednder and No. 106 Henry Jefferson.

Look at FSU
Seminols also enter this match after losing # 15 San Diego. This is the second loss of Florida for the season after their loss of 1-6 to 6 Arizona state on January 18th. So far, Seminoles have only fallen into ranked teams this season.

FSU is one of the three teams with two single players ranked in the top 25. No. 9 Corey Craig and No. 22 Jamie Connell are also ranked No. 47 as double partners. FSU has another team of couples ranked on ITA, â„– 6 Alex Bulte and Youssef Rihan.

The only mutual opponent that Florida and Florida have encountered so far this season is Georgia South. Gators beat the Eagles 6-1, giving them their first victory for the January20 season. Florida won 4-0 over the Eagles on January 12th.
The last time Gators and Seminoles collided with each other was at the beginning of the 2024 season. Gators were defeated by 4-0. Before this game, Gators had seven wins in the game against FSU. Gators won 22 of its 26 games against state opponents in the history of the program.
