Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – The fast -changing landscape of immigration policy is becoming a problem for organizations that help immigrants.
Sister Rosemary Wales, with the Cashier de Misericort, has been helping victims of domestic violence for years, some of whom are undocumented migrants who are sometimes afraid to charge accusations in case of deportation.
According to the Women’s Violence Act, people have been able to seek help without fear of consequences and to be related to public organizations.
The Welsh fears that continuing immigration policy can discourage people to go forward. Mention: “I love my country. I love our country. I am currently sad for our country. I’m really. My heart is heavy and I’m not sure how we can justify what we are doing. “
She believes that immigration reform is important, as many immigrants without criminal record have been contributing to the US economy for many years.
