BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The 2024 Baton Rouge State Fair kicks off this week, and the 58th edition of the fair will feature two new events.
Organizers said the fair will start on Thursday, October 24 and run until Sunday, November 3. The fair will be held at the BREC Fairgrounds on Airline Highway in East Baton Rouge Parish.
One of the new events is Dyno Dogs, a show that features dogs performing tricks, jumps and comedy several times a day. The other new event is the Dinosaur Interactive Experience, which allows visitors to learn about creatures from the past and take a photo with a walking dinosaur.
In addition to the two new events, the fair will also feature Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, Dallas the Fire Guy, Washboard Willy, Noha’s Way Petting Zoo, magician Tim Spinoza and more.
According to organizers, the main stage acts in 2024 will include David St. Romain, Kendall Shaffer, Cumberland County and Adam Pierce.

The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair is organized and run by an entire team of volunteers. All proceeds go to the Baton Rouge State Fair Foundation. These are then donated back to the community in the form of scholarships, sponsorships and grants.
