LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting on I-15 in Washington Wednesday morning.
Las Vegas Metro Police responded to reports of the shooting around 5:30 a.m. at southbound I-15 and West Washington Avenue. One person was transported to UMC without life-threatening injuries.
Nevada State Police temporarily closed the nearby southbound lanes of I-15 and diverted traffic to Lake Mead Boulevard. At one point, traffic appeared to come to a standstill near Washington Avenue.
All southbound lanes have reopened, although the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
