Athens, Georgia-Asa Newell scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Georgia to win 71-60 over South Carolina on Tuesday night.
Georgia (15-6, 3-5 Southeast Conference) clicked with four games while South Carolina (10-11, 0-8) extended its lost series to eight games.
Dakota Leffu added 14 points for the Bulldogs who never left and fired 51% (26 of 51) on the pitch. Silas Damer, Jr. scored 12 points, and Dylan James had 10.
Jamari Thomas scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half to lead South Carolina. Colin Murray-Boil added 18 points.
Georgia opened at 14-3 runs and led 35-21 on the break. DEMARY JR. He scored 10 points from the first half, and Newell and James added eight in number. Blue Cain’s 3-Indication with 4:44 Levi gave the Bulldogs the largest lead, 63-47, with 4:44 to play.
Georgia is 12-1 at home, which includes double-digit victories over the ranked Kentucky and Oklahoma. His only loss of the home was against the highest-ranked Press, 70-68 on January 18th.
South Carolina hosts 13 Texas A&M on Saturday.
Georgia plays in the fourth ranked alabama on Saturday.
