With the tension involving Israeli hostages, according to reports held by Hamas, Irving noted that Trump’s difficult rhetoric should not be underestimated. He suggested that when Trump talks about hostilities, he refers to it. However, Irving also touched the reality of conflicts, noting that groups like Hamas may not be deterred by threats of force, since their actions are guided by deeply rooted ideologies. He pointed to the complexity of the ideological war in which both sides consider themselves righteous, emphasizing the uselessness and devastation of war.
