The New Orleans Pelicans regular season begins tonight at home against the Chicago Bulls.
The biggest question over the past few months hasn’t been the health of Zion Williamson or whether Brandon Ingram will be traded, but rather where the games will be televised?
The team, in conjunction with Gray TV, launched the Gulf Coast Sports and Entertainment Network, which will be the home of all non-nationally televised games this season. Best of all, unlike TV deals from the franchise’s first 20-plus years, it doesn’t require any pay TV service.
In New Orleans, GCSEN is on channel 7.1. If you have an antenna connected to your TV, scan it again to make sure you are getting 7.1.
The Pelicans and WVUE announced late Tuesday that Cox Communications has agreed to partner with GCSEN and will carry the channel on its system. The Pelicans’ website lists GCSEN on channel 129 in the Cox system in New Orleans and 125 in Baton Rouge.
Some games, including the Bulls opener, will be simulcast on WVUE.
If none of those options work for you, the Pelicans have also launched a service called Pelicans+ that is available to fans within a 150-mile radius of New Orleans.
More details on how to watch all of these vehicles, including channel listings for areas outside of the New Orleans market, can be found on the Pelicans website.
