Over the past decade, Wisconsin’s basketball program has not been unknown to the development of solid wood legends.
During this period, the program breathes great as Nigel Hayes, Johnny Davis, Sam Deccker and Ethan Hap. Of all the luminaries, the former winner of the Naismith College of the Year Frank Kaminski stands alone.
It is safe to say that the NBA veteran, whose T -shirt is currently decorating the ribs of Kohl Center, is a fan of what has witnessed the current Wisconsin team.
This season, the Greg Guard group averages 82.5 points and 15.3 assists per match of 47.2% shooting from the pitch and 36.2% beyond the arc. To put this in the context, the final four Kaminski 2013-14 teams are an average of 71.9 points and 12.7 assists per 48% of the terrain and 35.7% outside.
The final four Wisconsin teams 2014-15 teams gave similar numbers-73.5 points and 12.1 assists for a duel of 45.8% of the terrain and 37.3% of the city center.
Statistically, the 2024-25 badgers are ready to surpass both historical teams. Here is Kaminski’s reaction to the best production of the program by the team of this season:
National hierarchies reflect Kaminski’s feelings around this team. Kenpom ranks the crime of Badgers No. 8 in the nation, and the poll of the Top 25 AP attaches UW as the best team # 17 in the country, while NCAA Net ranked Wisconsin of No. 18.
Wisconsin’s crime, like his troops 2013-14 and 2014-15, is as deep as it is. All five of Wisconsin’s beginners – Tonje, Blackwell, Klesmit, Crowl and Winter – average at least 10 points per game. UW is not proud of a player, gifted as Kaminski, but all signs indicate that the insult to this platoon is as effective as almost every team in the country, plus the best in the history of the program.
