EDPA acquires Birmingham Bound – Business Alabama

The Alabama Economic Development Partnership has acquired Birmingham Burne, an initiative that has attracted more than 20 technology companies in the Birmingham region since its founding in 2018.

The program, created by the Birmingham -based Shipt company, will serve as a cornerstone for a state lead strategy for leading lead for technology companies.

“Our plan is to make Birmingham initiative throughout the country,” said Miller Girwin, president of EDPA. “This development allows us to use proven methods that we have refined with our AL Intel Business Intelligence Team to focus on specific companies, to continue high -processing leaders, and to emphasize Alabama’s unique offer at an early stage.”

EDPA outlined three key goals for the new strategy: targeting specific companies, upgrading existing partnerships throughout the country; and strengthening Alabama’s reputation as an innovation center.

EDPA will hire a director of the business attraction of the technology company to manage the new initiative.
