Kenpom Ranking: Boise State Strong to insult, needs defensive work – Sports Illustrated

The Boise State men’s basketball team remains one of the better crimes in the country, checking No. 38 in Kenpom’s most offensive charts.

Broncos (13-7, 5-4) are sunk to No. 96 in a defensive rating aimed at Mountain West’s game on Wednesday against Nevada (11-9, 3-6). Tipoff is scheduled for 8 hours of mountain time at Extramile Arena.

Kenpom has the Boise State of No. 55 in a common rating, the fourth MWC’s fourth team behind No. 37 San Diego State (13-5, 6-3), No. 40 State Utah (18-2, 8-1) and No. 51 New Mexico (17-4, 9-1). No other MWC teams are in the top 75 of Kenpom.

Boise State passed 75 points or more in its four MWC damage, including a loss of 75-72 in Colorado last week. In their five MWC wins, Broncos allow 60.4 points per game.

In the latest projection of the Joe Lunar bracket of ESPN, MWC received three personal lines at the NCAA tournament: Utah (eight seeds), San Diego (10 seeds) and New Mexico (11 seeds).
