Now network rail engineers have cleared the bigger part of the damage caused by Storm Eowyn, with only a few lines left.
The problem area is in Kilwinning, where engineers work to clear a huge tree to provide access to repairing a damaged console mast.
Network Rail bosses had described him as “complicated work.”
Customers who have been interrupted due to the continued interruption can travel with their existing ticket to and including Friday, January 31. Customers can also apply for a free recovery of fees for all unused tickets.
Below the lines are planned to reopen:
- Largs/Ardosan Line should be open at 18:00 today.
- The AYR/Girvan line should be open tonight.
- Gourock/Wemyss Bay should be open at 5am on Wednesday.
- Girvan to Stranraer should be open on Saturday morning.
The lines are out of action after the storm impact on Friday.
