The East Carol Prisoner has been conquered after wrongly dropped in Baton Rouge – Knoe

Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Authorities in Baton Rouge have confirmed that a prisoner who is said to have been released wrong from the Carol Carroll Center is in custody.

According to the sheriff of Eastern Baton Sheriff Ruzh Christopher Davis, it was taken shortly before 11:00 pm on Sunday, January 26th.

Davis was slaughtered at the Greyhound Bus Station in Baton Rouge on Friday, January 24th. Affidavit from the Sheriff’s office reveals that Davis was not supposed to be released and “was dressed in some way in civil clothing.”

Later, the East Carol Prison Center noticed that they had accidentally slaughtered suspects.

Numerous agencies worked to find him and he was returned to custody.

Initially, Davis was arrested in connection with a shooting in 2022, in which they killed 37-year-old Deander Duncan.

Officials say Davis was housed in East Carol for several months and was not planned to return to EBR until his next court date on March 17.

According to authorities, Davis was booked at the parish prison in East Baton Rouge on several charges, including:

  • Impaired Murder of Second Degree
  • mashaw
  • Illegal use of weapons
  • Criminal damage to the property
  • Obstacle of justice
  • aggravated assault with a firearm
  • possession of a firearm by a convicted criminal
