West Bend, WisConsin (WTMJ), the Wisconsin Dairy Association, released its five-year report, which showed a 16% increase, adding $ 52.8 billion to the country’s economy.
The owner of Roden Echo Valley Farm Rick Rodin contributed to this impetus with his dairy products that help to make milk, cheese and more.
“My grandparents were farmers, my parents are farmers, I’m a farmer and I love working with cows,” Rick said. “I’m a cow man.”
He grew up on the farm, co-owned in 2003, and helps increase the production of milking 16 cows at a time. Three years ago, the farm built a new facility with a rotating system that makes milking easier, more efficient, and More comfortable for cows.
Rick’s father, Bob Rodin, could not predict that farm technology would look as happened in 2025, but said he was proud of the way his son had adapted to keep up with the industry S
“I always believed in agriculture,” Bob said. “I always wanted to see that this farm goes on, and I hope that this can go on for generations in this area.”
The duo father and son said the younger family members had already expressed interest in dealing with the craft, despite their challenges.
“If you are not with a family member or farm that is constantly growing, it is impossible for every young person to go on the road and buy a farm,” Bob said. “We had some challenging times financially and some difficulties we went through … But honestly I can say that I always did what I wanted to do.”
Wisconsin’s Vice President Dairy Farmers in the relationship with industry Ben Miller said the results of the survey were a testament to hardworking families like Rodies.
Rick and Bob plan to expand, keep up with technology, and maintain their agricultural tradition alive for the future generations.
“I know nothing else,” Bob said. “A friend of mine annoyed me and he said, ‘Yes, they will find you someday stuffed in a combine … and they are probably right! “
Bob is 71 years old.
The family diversifies their cultures and they hold agricultural tourist events to show people where their food comes from and to inspire future farmers.
