Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Laredo Municipal Council will have its first meeting in 2025 on Tuesday, January 28, in the mayoralty. A new member of the Council will bring a new point of view and some differences in opinion are expected.
City manager Joe Naib says that having different opinions can be useful in making decisions for the city. He believes this leads to good conversations.
“I think sometimes it actually helps us build stronger final decisions with it,” NaB said. “We have a lot of public construction. These projects and activities will have an advantage. The Council wants to see this action. I do not think there are disagreements on them, that they want to do the best for the city. “
One position on the agenda is a new regulation on mailboxes. The ordinance will stop cars from parking or blocking mailboxes within eight feet.
