Syracuse, New York – Police are investigating a body found on Monday in a parking garage near the Syracuse Medical Center VA and the University of Syracuse.
The body was found in the VA garage of Avenue Irving, adjacent to the hospital, according to spokesman Jason Robertson. The garage is opposite JMA’s wireless dome.
The Department of Public Safety at the University of Syracuse also confirmed that the body was found in the garage, according to a signal sent to the community of Sofia University. Several members of the SU Community reported that they were seeing the body.
Syracuse police, veterans and police police in Sofia have responded to the scene.
The SU Signal said that the dead man was not related to the university.
Editor’s note: The University of Syracuse initially incorrectly reports in its signal that the body was found in the Irving garage, which is adjacent to the hospital garage.
