Larendo, Texas (KGNS) – Congressman Henry Quelar (TX -28) celebrates the oath as a member of the House of US Representatives with a special ceremony, which is now held in the Larendo City Hall. The event started at 10am
Quellar, accompanied by her wife Imelda and her daughters Christina and Catherine, notes her eleventh term in the office, representing the 28th Congress District of Texas. He officially swore in the House of Representatives in Washington, Colombia, on January 3, 2025, he served as a senior member of the Budget Loan Committee of the Chamber, which monitors defense, internal security and military construction/veterans’ questions.
The ceremony includes speeches from local leaders and guests, including Judge Jim Hog Juan Carlos Guera, President of Laredo College, Dr. Maria Minerva Ramirez and Father Juan Jose Ibara of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe in Hebronville. Dr. Joseph Crabtri, a professor at Laredo College, and Daniela Montes of Smiles from Heaven also participate, along with representatives from all nine counties in the district.
Representative Qualar is one of the oldest members of the Chamber and has a high rank in the Budget Loan Committee.
The audience attended the event in the hall of Larendo City Hall on 1110.
