New trailer for the second season of Apple TV+ Dismissal was released, teasing some big changes at Lumon Industries. Specifically, Adam Scott’s character Mark has discovered that his colleagues Healy, Dylan, and Irving have been replaced by three new characters sitting at their desks in Lumon. This change comes after the group “innies” broke out of Lumon and tried to get help to escape their oppressive employers in Dismissal end of season 1.
After the latest trailer for Dismissal season 2, the question of what will become of Mark and his friends became even more pressing. The fact that Lumon replaced Healy, Dylan, and Irving suggests that the sinister company did something terrible to them because of their rebellion. It’s time to tell what happened to the main characters of Dismissal at the end of season 1 and why it led to Mark finding new colleagues in the office.
Lumon separated Mark from Healy, Dylan, and Irving after their revelations at the end of Severance Season 1
Mark must save his friends on his own in Severance Season 2
DismissalThe Season 1 finale showed Dylan using overtime to allow Mark, Healy, and Irving to wake up outside of Lumon Industries. From there, the final three characters explore life on their own walks. However, only Mark and Irving end up outside the company building, as Helly’s Ini finds out she is the daughter of Lumon CEO Jaime Egan at a corporate gala.
The episode ends with a pursuit of Helly, who exposes Lumon’s abuses to the public, just as overtime is being abolished. At the same time, Mark’s Ini finds out that his dead wife, Gemma, is Mrs. Casey, who is alive and working at Lumon. The season ends with the four alone and Heli and Dylan are captured by Lumon officials. It wouldn’t be surprising if their characters remain under their charge when Season 2 begins.
Healy, Dylan, and Irving were likely cast in different Lumon roles in Severance Season 2
Lumon can try to make the characters work for them once more
If Lumon gets to Irving in the outside world, the odds are Dismissal season 2 will show him, Healy, and Dylan moving to different positions in the company, away from each other and away from Mark. The most reasonable explanation for this would be that Lumon wanted to better monitor and control the group’s actions without them supporting each other as a united front. It could give a glimpse into other departments in the strange and secretive company.

Convincing Breakup Theory Season 2 Claims Lumon’s Elevator Is More Important Than You Think
An elevator like Lumon Industries could be a vital component in Severance Season 2, advancing a very specific part of Apple TV+’s sci-fi story.
Lumon may be an evil corporation, but Heli is the daughter of Lumon’s CEO, so he would let anyone in the company kill her for betraying her Ini. Also, Lumon is unlikely to get many recruits now Heli revealed the truth to the world. They will probably have to rely on the people already working for them, so they will probably try to break the spirits of Healy, Dylan, and Irving to continue serving them. One can only imagine what they will do with Mark as the latest trailer showed him going to work.
Right now, the trailer for Dismissal season 2 contains some horrific consequences for Mark, Healy, Dylan and Irving. Season 1 ended with a shocking but hopeful challenge for Mark and his friends. But now it looks like Mark will have to go it alone to save them from Lumon’s clutches and bring down the company once and for all. All this he just kept doing Dismissal season 2 one of the most anticipated shows of 2025.
