Another piece of Ken Block’s Hoonigan empire went up for auction over the weekend, as the heavily modified 1977 1977 Ford F-150 “Hoonitruck” The Hoonitruck sold for a handsome $990,000 including fees at the 2025 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction.
While it may not be as beloved or recognizable as the Hoonicorn Mustang, this Ford truck is hardly any less extreme of a machine. Construction first arrived in 2018. as a star of Tenth installment of Block’s Gymkhana series. Built as an homage to the very truck Block learned to drive, this sixth generation F-150 shares very few parts with the original.
The chassis was all custom for high-speed slides, while the stock drivetrain was ripped for a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6. Of course, the stock block wouldn’t be suitable for someone of Block’s stature, so the team bumped up to 914 hp. Power goes to all four wheels, helping the truck pull off some of its more impressive dance moves. The truck’s dynamic nature is on full display in the film Trimbkhana 2, which sees the truck tackle China’s Tianmen Mountain.
This isn’t the first time people have had a chance to score a Hoonitruck, with the dealer previously listing it for sale for $1.1 million. And while the auction price wasn’t too far off that figure, it’s still a bargain compared to the building’s reported price of $1.5 million. It’s not like you just go and find another one of Block’s famous rides, especially one that’s featured in such a memorable set of videos.
The excitement surrounding the car was clear during the bidding war, which took only moments to eclipse the half-million dollar mark. Here’s hoping the next owner decides to use this thing from time to time – albeit a little more cautiously than its original owner.
