NEW DURHAM — A local man was taken into custody Tuesday night after a disturbance that included a shooting, according to New Hampshire State Police.
The incident happened shortly before 6pm on Tuesday, October 22, when troopers from A Squad barracks were dispatched to a residence on Quaker Road.
Upon arrival, they found that an argument between two individuals had escalated, resulting in one of them, identified as James Robinson, 29, of New Durham, firing multiple firearms multiple times.
Robinson was arrested without further incident and faces three counts of reckless conduct, felony theft by unauthorized taking, as well as charges of criminal trespass and unauthorized use of a firearm.
After refusing to post bail, Robinson is currently being held at the Strafford County Department of Corrections.
He is expected to be arraigned in Rochester District Court today, October 23.
State police were assisted at the scene by the Belknap County Sheriff’s Department and several local police and fire departments.
