Seattle – Police in Seattle are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early on Sunday in the Ballard neighborhood.
What we know:
According to the Seattle Police Department, the dispatcher received a signal for a man who lies without reacting at Baker Park, located in the 8300 block of the 14th Avenue Northwest. The call has received around 7:30 in the morning
Upon arrival, the police found a man with a firearm. He was declared dead on the spot.

“It’s hard to register when it really happens so close to you,” said a neighbor. “We live right on the other side of the street. It was a small moment of shock. I am sorry for the loss of life. “
What they say:
Detectives are still working to determine what has led to the shooting. There are no suspects in custody.
“We heard something we thought of fireworks around 2 or 2:30 in the morning,” said a man, who wanted anonymity. “It woke me up. Only later did everyone realize that they had been shots.”
This is Seattle’s second murder for so many days and also marks the second murder so far in 2025. The double firing on Saturday of Pioneer Square left a man killed and a woman injured.
