A Mount Blanchard man was among seven people injured in a two-vehicle crash just after midnight today in Seneca County.
According to a news release from the Ohio State Patrol’s Norwalk Post, 42-year-old Stephen R. Benner Jr. was driving left of center while traveling southwest on State Route 12.
His minivan struck the front of a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Logan B. Johnson of Fremont.
Both drivers were transported to ProMedica Hospital in Fostoria for treatment of serious injuries.
Two passengers in Johnson’s vehicle were airlifted to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo with serious injuries.
Three other passengers in Johnson’s car were taken to ProMedica in Fostoria with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation and drug use by both drivers appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
