Vivo V50 has been approved for global launch after securing SIRIM certification – Mobile Prices in Pakistan

It’s not the first time we’ve heard about the new V50 from Vivo, and it won’t be the last. The EEC in Europe and the NCC in Taiwan already approved this device in their respective regions a few weeks ago, but yesterday we found out that Malaysia has also cleared the V50 for release in their market. Here’s what SIRIM said about the new Vivo device.

SIRIM in Malaysia tested the phone under model number V2427, the same as the latest EEC and NCC certifications. This new listing doesn’t go into the details of the V50’s specs, but at least we have a new authority to confirm the phone’s impending global launch.

The NCC listing revealed what the phone looks like in three different color options. The V50’s measurements and real-life photos were also leaked last week by the regulator, and we found the phone measuring 160mm tall and 74mm wide.

If you look at these images and get a sense of deja vu, you’re probably picturing the Vivo S20 from China, a model you’d probably recognize from Vivo’s price list. Yes, these are identical-looking phones, but rumors suggest that the specs may differ, especially the battery type and charging speed.

Happily, we found the V50’s battery and charging specs in the same listing. NCC said its battery has a Li-Ion capacity of 5,870 mAh, which the V50 may advertise as 6,000 mAh. The S20 is a different beast with its Si/C battery and a denser 6500mAh capacity.

Its 90W fast input charging speed was also mentioned. If the power stats differed, the V50 might not be the rebranded S20 as previously thought. Of course, this is a 2025 phone, so Android 15 and Funtouch OS 15 should be available on first boot.

You can see in the images that Vivo still maintains its collaboration with ZEISS cameras live. At least the photos and videos here will be leading. Its 12/256GB and 12/512GB storage options were also priced out of the recent listing. NBTC and TDRA are some other certifications supporting this device which gave green light to this Vivo V40 in Middle East and Thailand. From all evidence, the global launch is fast approaching.
