Tecno is about to launch a new range of phones to take on the mid-range segment. Here we are talking about the team Tecno Camon 40. The best phone of the series will be the premier of Camon 40 and it has been signed by regulatory body in USA. Camon 40 4G, probably the cheapest among the line, has cleared certification in Thailand.

The company only saves the Premier tag for its top-of-the-line device in the Camon lineup, and it’s the same deal with the 40 series. The US FCC database showed the Camon 40 Premier as having the model code “CM8,” which is a helpful hint if you must to recognize this device in future certificates.

The information in the FCC listing was the bare minimum, but at least we have confirmation of the phone’s 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as you can see in the Camon 40 Premier’s nameplate IMEI label. What you see in the image is a plan that should give you some idea of what the phone looks like.

The Camon 30 series was offset the circular camera on the left side, but the new Tecno Camon models may center its position. But the appearance of the starter is very similar to the old design. This square shaped lens is probably a Periscope telephoto. Again, this is something that Tecno reserves only for flagship phones.

The Tecno Camon 40 Premier seems to have three more lenses, but they still lack some information. The FCC also pulled the phone’s charging adapter, which may be a 70W fast brick. Its battery specs are nowhere to be found as of now. So, we can talk about that in future posts if the details leak out.

Old Camon 30 4G uses 6.78” AMOLED, 120Hz refresh rate and it all comes together with Ultimate CPU Helio G99. Even the Camon 30 4G scored 70W charging on the X 5000mAh. And if this Legacy Camon 40 is built, we can expect great things from the newcomers.

The Camon 40 4G is a budget phone listed as model number CM6 in the NBTC certification. Unfortunately, no specifications pertaining to this vanilla 4G version have been released. The Tecno Camon 30 4G was a decent build and if the newcomer is anything like its successor, it could be another big hit in our market.
