The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to take control of the NFC South when they host the Atlanta Falcons this coming Sunday, the same Falcons team that stole the hearts of Bucs fans just a few weeks ago in a game they probably should have won.
Unfortunately for Tampa Bay, they will be doing so because of multiple players after last week’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. We know WR Mike Evans won’t be redshirting anytime soon (at least until the end of Week 11) and the other starting WR, Chris Godwin, will miss the rest of the 2024 season after suffering a sprained ankle.
On Wednesday, the Bucs participated in practice after playing on Monday night. There were obvious players on the injury report such as Payne Durham, who is still nursing a calf injury, and Tyky Smith, who suffered a concussion last week. However, a surprise appearance and DNP came from rookie fourth-round draft pick Bucky Irving.

The Bucs will likely return to normal practices tomorrow as they prepare to face the Atlanta Falcons, which looks more and more like a must-win, so we’ll continue to monitor the status of those players while keeping a close eye on how Irving progresses during the week – if at all.
