John Schneider chose only two Quarters during his term as a Seattle Seyhowks General Manager: Russell Wilson at 3rd Circle of NFL 2012 and Alex McGow in the 7thth A circle of NFL’s 2018 NFL drafts are still active in their respective professional football quarry. Wilson, the more remarkable of the two (for obvious reasons) has just started a playoff match for Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this month. Wilson is about to work with a free agency this off -season and there are already rumors that he will reunite with Pete Carroll in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, McGow has already found his home for 2025, at least within the United Football League (UFL). Earlier last week, McGough signed with UFL Birmingham Stallions. This is the second stay of McGough in UFL (before USFL, before merge with XFL) as well as in Stallions. During his first stay (2022-2023), he won the USFL Championships consistently to join the USFL MVP campaign in 2023. In this 2023 campaign, McGough participated in 10 games and threw 2105 yards and 20 touchdowns Up to 5 intercepts, as well as running for 403 yards and five touchdowns.
McGouGH’s MCGou MVP for 2023 MVP was good enough to call NFL again. After four years (2018-2021) in NFL, with three different teams (Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and two stays in Seahawks) McGough finally returned to NFL after signing with Green Bay Packers in 2023 McGough Green Bay for the remainder of 2023 and for 2024. Now, however, McGough has found itself again at home in Birmingham.
For those who are curious about McGough’s status at Stallions, it is not guaranteed as a start -up Quarterback, despite its MVP campaign only two years ago. While McGough was with Packers in 2024, Stallions continued to win the UFL Championship, this time with Matt Corral and Adrian Martinez as a team like Quarterback. Martinez (who won the UFL MVP title for 2024) is now with New York Jets while Coral returns to Birmingham to compete with McGow to start as a couhot.
McGough has seen success in its capabilities with USFL/UFL, time will show whether it will be able to get the starting countertrace concert again and may even come back for a third stay in NFL. Meanwhile, back in Seattle, Schneider will study the core of the Quarterbacks in the 2025 project. One of them may be the third chosen Quarterback from Schneider.
