South Carolina Gamecocks WR Nick Harbor is an All-SEC caliber track athlete, but he will focus solely on football in the 2025 season.
The South Carolina Gamecocks enter the 2025 offseason. coming off a (9-4) season that leaves most Gamecocks faithful optimistic about the 2025 football season. They extended head coach Shane Beamer, they return one of the most talented quarterbacks in the sport in LaNorris Sellers, and they have a ton of returning talent like former five-star WR, Nick Harbor.
Harbor spent two seasons at Columbia, not only playing football, but also competing at the conference’s highest level in track as a 100- and 200-meter sprinter. Harbor set personal bests in both events last spring in track, but decided to focus solely on football this season.
Head coach Shane Beamer spoke about Harbor’s decision this week:
“At the moment he is solely focused on football. And that was Nick’s decision. That was something he talked to us about. I think he realized that even though he did a lot of really good things on the track last year, he missed spring practice. I don’t want to say, bring it back, but it was more of a challenge to be ready for the season.”
