BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge (CCDBR) is organizing a one-day drive to deliver specific items to help those affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helena.
The drive takes place from 9am to 6pm on Monday, October 28th at the Westerfield Center, located at 1800 S. Acadian Thruway in Baton Rouge.
The following items are being collected to be brought to hurricane-affected areas in Florida:
- $25 Visa Gift Cards
- Diapers for adults
- Feminine hygiene products
- Cleaning products
“We have contacted the Catholic Charities agencies serving the affected area and these are the items needed at this time,” said Stephanie Sterling, CCDBR executive director. “South Louisiana is no stranger to hurricanes and the devastation they cause, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to help our neighbors in Florida.”
Collected items will be taken to a warehouse in Florida for distribution.
