A traffic stop in Sussex County turned into drug, drug and gun charges for a Wilmington man over the weekend.
Douglas McLean, 35, was pulled over for speeding and swerving on DuPont Boulevard near Deer Forest Road in Georgetown around 4:30 a.m. Friday and showed signs of impairment during questioning, Delaware State Police said.
McLean allegedly failed a field sobriety test and a search of his car turned up a stolen gun, ammunition and cocaine.
McLean was booked into Sussex Correctional Institution on charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance and speeding, in addition to the DUI count.
