South Florida’s favorite Christmas attraction will not be open this year – wflaorlando.iheart.com

Medley, Fla. – A beloved South Florida holiday tradition has announced it will be closed for Christmas this season.

The attraction, Santa’s Enchanted Forest, has been a staple for area families for nearly four decades.

The attraction made the announcement on Instagram, writing, “Santa’s Enchanted Forest will be closed for the 2024 season as we reflect on four magical decades of cherished memories and plan for the future. As a beloved South Florida tradition, we’ve been honored to participate in countless family celebrations, filling the air with twinkling lights, laughter, and holiday spirit 🎅🏻✨🎄Although we won’t be welcoming visitors this year, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being an integral part of our journey. Your support is the real magic behind our story, we hope you will carry with you the warmth of the memories we have created together. and the special wonder that this time of year brings ❤️”

Santa’s Enchanted Forest began operations in 1984 at Tropical Park in Miami-Dade County.

After the lease expired in 2020, the attraction moved to Hialeah and then to its current location at 7400 NW 87th Ave. in Medley.

While Santa’s Enchanted Forest will not be open this year, another holiday attraction, Christmas Wonderland, will take its place at Tropical Park.

The two attractions have been competing for visitors in recent years.

Organizers of Santa’s Enchanted Forest expressed their gratitude to the community for their support over the years and hope to return in the future.
