Larendo, Texas. (KGNS) – Students were given a chance to explore new heights during a friendly and educational drone competition.
On Saturday morning, the school for high achievements in Laredo held its competition for air drones 2025.
Teams from different schools in southern Texas were given a chance to show their drone pilot skills, teamwork and encoding.
As part of the competition, students had to run a series of challenges and were noted based on their presentation.
Sebastian Sarmiento, a former harmony student who serves in a Saturday race, believes that these events help to train students for future career opportunities.
“To be able to manage here in the school with your teammates with communication, and also to be able to be exactly because it is not just a game, but it is also more or less the drone mechanics,” Sarmiento said. “How to navigate it, how to control it, aerodynamics of it and it has many applications throughout life, and especially when you move on to college, it is very important to have an understanding here, so later in the future, you can succeed in To succeed. “
Sarmiento adds that the format of competition changes every year.
This is the third year when Harmony holds this event.
