Charlottsville, Virginia-Marcus Burton scored 21 points and Notre Dame Virginia for the first time as a guest, 74-59 on Saturday.
Burton made half of his 14 Four Threeships for Fighting Irish (9-10, 3-5 Atlantic Coast Conference), which were 0-9 all the time against Cavaliers (9-11, 2-7) by John Paul Jones Arena S Burton scored at least 20 in four consecutive games-another one and he will be the first to do it in five consecutive notre Dame after Ben Hansbro in 2011.
Tae Davis finished with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists for combat Irish. Braden Shrusberry scored 13.
Jacob Kofi had 17 points and six rebounds to lead Cavaliers, who lost six of their last seven games. Isaac McNilly scored all her 14 points in the first half.
Burton plunged all three threes and scored 15 to bring Notre Dame to a lead from 39-27 at halftime. Burton scored the first nine points for Notre Dame in winning without interruption, and Julian Ropper II scored a threesome to complete a series of 14-3 at the beginning of the game. McNilly scored four threes and had a hand in all with the exception of seven points in Virginia before the break, adding three assists.
Shrusberry, Matt Aloko and Keba Nijie celebrated threes in the first 3:30 am of the second half and Notre Dame increased his lead to 48-31. The Irish took their biggest lead at 63-36 when laying Burton with 8:02.
Virginia leads to a series of all times 18-5.
Notre Dame will host Georgia Tech on Tuesday. Virginia is traveling for a match with Miami on Wednesday.
