On October 19, 2024 – A very successful Filipino-American History Month (FAHM) and cultural celebration at EXPO2024 was co-hosted by the Filipino-American Business Association of Glendale (FABAG-GLAC) and the Philippine Ministry of the Church of the Incarnation. The event was held in the auditorium of the Church of the Incarnation in Glendale.
Full support and presence from Philippine Consulate Los Angeles Consul Francis Maleon, Glendale officials and council members Dan Brotman, Vartan Harpetian and City Clerk Susie Abadjian. Glendale’s police and fire departments were also represented, legislative offices — Sen. Anthony J. Portantino, Assemblywoman Laura Friedman / Anthony Maloof, State Attorney Rob Bonta / COS Jessica Calosa, GCC Board of Trustees, Chair. Desiree Portillo, BM Armine Hacopian, Rotary Club HiFi and many, many more showed support!
The audience was filled with positive and lively energy. Performers included Pakaraguian Kulintang Ensemble (Ube Arte), MOTHER FYS, Philippine Tourism videos, Paulist Productions, and more. THANK YOU to the many donors, sponsors, vendors and FABAG-GLAC staff, board and members – Joe Solomonson, Mary Joy Garcia, Mae Mallari, Ami Bautista, Josephine Inacay, Renee Rasper, Emmett Carr, Robert Howard, Arlene Lapid Penaflor, Edita Manikis Fuentes et al. One highlight of the Program was giving “Thanks and Honours” to those community members who have continuously helped and supported FABAG.
