Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz will visit North Carolina later this week.
On Thursday, Walz is scheduled to make stops in Durham and Greenville. He is also expected to speak in Wilmington.
Walz is scheduled to arrive Wednesday evening at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Morrisville. He is scheduled to spend Wednesday in Louisville, Kentucky, and Friday in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Walz’s planned visit this week is the latest as the presidential campaign ramps up in North Carolina.
It comes after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump visited Greenville on Monday.
Last Thursday, Walz and former President Bill Clinton made a campaign stop in Durham.
Monday’s rally comes at a crucial time, as the latest NBC News national poll shows a tight race between Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.
In an NBC News poll conducted Oct. 4-8, Harris received the support of 48 percent of registered voters in a head-to-head race — while Trump received the same 48 percent. Another 4% said they were undecided or would not vote for either option.
