Cheyenne, WY – Light snow will continue into Saturday afternoon, making roads, including I-80, slick and potentially dangerous. Drivers are urged to proceed with caution as visibility remains limited in some areas, particularly near Elk Mountain and Warren Interchange.

Snowfall totals are expected to remain light, with less than an inch of new accumulation by tonight, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne. North winds at 10 mph will bring wind chills ranging from -5 to 0 degrees, further complicating outdoor travel.

A 30% chance of snow remains tonight, with temperatures dropping to 4C. Roads may remain icy overnight.

Sunday offers relief as the weather clears up, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 26 degrees. Winds will shift west to northwest in the afternoon, creating a weaker end to the weekend. The warming trend continues Monday through Wednesday, with highs reaching 40 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

Although the weather will stabilize starting Sunday, residents should be prepared for icy roads, especially in shady areas or during the early morning hours. Outdoor enthusiasts should dress warmly and limit exposure during today’s coldest spells.
